2024 Policy Updates

May 22, 2024

Hello Members:

Opening Weekend is just a few days away! We are so excited to see you!  PHCA Board wanted to send out a few policy reminders and procedures as we move into the new season.

SNACK SHACK:

Each family will be given TWO Key Tags.  The key tags have family name and account number on it.  The only time you technically need this is if you want your child to be able to charge Snack Shack items to your account without you present. If these are lost, we will not order replacements until next pool season.

Key Tags can be picked up from the Snack Shack Attendant beginning on Saturday.  You will need to sign beside your name to verify you have received them and understand the new policies.

Our new policies for Snack Shack & Charging To Account is as follows:

  • Family Key Tag must be presented in order for a child to charge items to family account without an adult present.
  • Children can charge to account without a key tag ONLY if adult is present to verify the charge.
  • These rules apply to all children under the age of 18 years old.
  • Any disputes to charges made to account must be made within two weeks of invoice date.
  • Each family has 2 key tags. Replacements will not be provided this summer.

Snack Shack accepts cash, venmo, or charging to account for purchases.

SWIM TEST / CHILDREN ATTENDING POOL WITHOUT ADULTS:

Any child who wishes to attend the pool without an adult needs to complete and pass the swim test each summer.

Our new procedures for Swim Test / Children Attending Pool Without Adult is as follows:

  • No child under the age of 9 is allowed to enter facilities without an adult present
  • ALL Children ages 9 – 13 years old are required to pass a swim test prior to being allowed to enter facilities without an adult present
  • Parent should arrive at pool with child. Parent should ask guard to complete swim test. Once child passes test, the child, parent, and guard will walk over to front window greeter to be added to the list. Parent should fill out information on Swim Test Sheet.
  • When child arrives at facilities without an adult, they must check in at the front window to be verified that they have passed the swim test.

Please remember: ENTRY WITHOUT AN ADULT IS A PRIVILEGE. IF BEHAVIOR ISSUES ARISE, CHILD MAY LOSE ABILITY TO ATTEND WITHOUT AN ADULT.

GUEST FEES:

PHCA requires a $5.00 guest fee to be paid at time of entry / check in.  Members can pay cash or charge the guest fee to their account at the time of checking in.

Our Guest Policy is as follows:

  • Out-of-town guests (from outside Forsyth County) will be permitted to use the pool when accompanied by a member at any time during pool hours.
  • Any in-town, non-member guest may visit the pool no more than FIVE times per summer for a fee of $5/visit. Guests must be accompanied by a pool member. Students living in dormitories and other guests who maintain temporary residence in Forsyth County are considered residents requiring admission fee.
  • Free guests (from inside or outside the membership area) are allowed for Teen and Adult Nights (limit 2 per member). Certain events may require an admission charge. Guests must be accompanied by a member and properly registered.
  • Members are responsible for their guest’s fees as they enter. The lifeguard will collect fees from members if member does not approach the guard first.

LOST & FOUND:

Lost & Found will be kept in two areas.  One area will be in a blue mesh storage unit outside of the guard room and front bathrooms.  The other area will be located under the shelter in the corner near the grilling area.

  • Towels, clothing, etc will be mainly kept in the shelter area on the white table
